How do I open an attachment with a .pages extension?

I have received an email with a document extension .pages, which I am unable to open.

The list of extensions and the associated programs to open them do not include a .pages extension, nor could I find a way to add this new extension and an association for it.

Does anyone know how this is done?

Wow, there's a PDF inside you can see it. I suggest you look inside with 7Zip.
