Windows Media Player

I cannot get the Media Player to do anything. It will not even load up. When I go to the add and remove program section, I do not even see it listed. When I try to re-install the program, that is not working either. When I go to the link for Windows Media Player for Vista to download again, it keeps taking me to the download for Windows Media Player for XP. Please help. Thanks for taking time to read this.

What are your system specs?

Can you give us a clearer description of the problems? When you say you try to reinstall the program and "that is not working either", what are you seeing on the screen?

The Installation goes through like normal. In the end, it says the version I have on my computer is 11.0.6002.18111 It says that the Media Player that I am trying to install is an earlier version. When I click on Windows Media Player on my computer to launch, nothing happens.

As far as system specs, what do you need?
