How can I create a Vista installation disc?

Hi everybody. I've been searching over the net for a couple of hours now to find out if there was a way I could create a windows Vista installation disc.

My problem is the hard drive on my computer is broken and I bought a new one. I would like to install Vista on this new drive, but the problem is when I bought my PC (Compaq Presario), it came with Vista already installed and no CD. I have the CD key and everything, but can't find a way to install it...

Some people told me I could use any Vista installtion CD and use my own CD key, but unfortunately, I don't know anyone who has one.

I have another computer (HP) which is running on Windows Vista (again, no CD) and was wondering if there was a way to create an installation CD from this PC.

1. Contact HP and buy a (replacement) Recovery DVD. Most HP's let you burn your own DVD the first time you use it, just in case your hard disk dies, but not everybody does it.

2. More expensive: buy a retail or OEM Vista and install that on your new hard drive. Download the drivers from the HP site; you might need to contact Customer Service about that.

3. About as expensive, but takes 2 months. Buy a retail or OEM Windows 7. For the drivers, see #2.
