Windows Vista forum: Soundmax Driver for Vista

try plugging/unplugging/rotating speaker jack where it enters back of computer & also at speaker end (if so equipped).

I thought my speakers were burned out or drivers bad but it was just accumulated dirt in the plug/receptacle interface which had never even been touched since set-up.

no i don't have speakers. It's a laptop with built in speakers and i even tried headphones and the sound lags and breaks up. i am definately sure its beacuase of vista. but i am not sure what is causing this problem. sound is like slowed down by 20x and it keeps breaking up.
