NIS 2007 and Vista

Hello and good morning everyone. I upgraded to Vista Ultimate and yesterday purchased Norton Internet Security 2007 from CompUSA. On the software box it clearly states that it is "Vista Ready". I went home to install it and lo and behold it didn't work
Who would have thunk it? I followed all of Symantec's online instructions on how to install it and went through the vista update procedures. Still no luck. So then I submitted an online ticket to Symantec and called them. FYI, Symantec outsources their Tech Support to India!!!! My support technican was "Paul" and we went on and on in a vicious circle. What version are you running? Did you download it or purchase it from retail? On the box does it say "Version 2.0"? I am like WTF Chuck? So after 2 hours and sending him a screenshot of the error message; he told me that this was being escalated to Symantec's Software Engineering and Development Team. That NIS 2007 was coded for the Vista Beta and hasn't been coded for the RTM versions yet. He then told me that it would be 2 days before I will hear back from Symantec about this problem. I emailed his managers and got an OOO email (Out of Office) from them saying that they are out traveling and will answer back on 2/15/2007. I would like to know is anyone having the same problem? If so how are you resolving it? If you did install NIS 2007 on your Vista machine how did you accomplish this? Please comment and contact me. Here are my computer specs:
HP Pavilion Media Center PC (a1250n)
Windows Vista Ultimate
2GB RAM
ATI Radeon X800 PCI-E (256MB)
Creative Xi-Fi XtremeMusic PCI
Very Respectfully,
Dana
