iPad album art messed up

iPad 3, ITunes 11, iOS 6.1.2

Had to uninstall/reinstall everything on my New iPad including all of my albums ripped from cd's. I did this from my iMac via iTunes, of course. When I did there was no album art on any of them, even though the iMac had the same album covers I already had. Before doing this 80-90% of my albums had cover art. So I went through the process of downloading the art work. Had to do this at least 3 times. Each time gave me more art work but I never got the number of covers I had before the uninstall/reinstall. But wait. The album covers were all on the wrong albums. I clicked on a Gordon Lightfoot album and an Association song started. Looks like all of the album art is on the wrong albums. What's going on? Is there a fix?

I have this issue before, but after I update my iPad to ios 6.1.2 this issue has been fixed.
