IPad 2 how do I reset the passcode for restrictions

I restricted the use of some apps on my IPad and now I cannot recall the passcode How can I reset it or take it off?

It will require you to do a complete restore of the iPad

but do NOT do anything until you have read this article a number of times.

Note the warning about NOT doing a Restore. Doing a restore just puts the same, forgotten code, back in again.
