Help with iPad e-book download

Hi-
I'm a new iPad user & I'm stuck with a download issue.
I downloaded the new Pete Townsend book through the Barnes & Noble Nook app but I cant get i out of my email onto the iPad.
It wont come through to be accessible on the Nook app either & I'm not sure if I can get it transferred over to the iTunes e-book app.
I just finished with the Neil Young e-book & everything worked fine.

1. Open the NOOK application on your iPad
2. Tap the refresh symbol in the top right corner of the screen
3. Your "homepage" should reload and show your new title available to download
4. Download your new title
