my ipod cannot connect on internet

I have ipod 1 genaration, and even though my wi-fi settings is corect (I have secured wireless home network), I can not go internet. When I click Safari and type any url (ex: www.google.com) yhe ipod is truing to connect but with out secess.
am I missing something??

Hi, yes I was able to connect before. Then did not used the ipod for some time, and now I cannot.

Simply reset the network settings on the iOS device

This is something that typically gets broken with Apple iOS updates. YMMV.

Once you reset the network settings, then try to connect to the same wifi network like it's brand new.

Hi all,
In my case, resetting the network settings (even resetting all settings) did not work. But after rebooting it (you know: press and hold two buttons at the same time for couple of seconds until the apple logo comes out) did the job. It works now.

My new Netgear did similar and it was me. I took my own advice about latest router firmware and all seemed well until a few machines and devices had trouble.

Turns out the latest firmware has some issue with iPhones and more. How did I find out? I used google and found others with my router and connection issues. Most of them said to fix it by going back a rev. So I did and now it's all good again.

Your average user may write "I didn't change a thing" but this bug looks to be date/time related so it worked for a time but keep in mind that security can use the date and time so be sure all the clocks are set in all devices. This issue can extend itself to a bug in the router code so it could work for awhile and then fail in some odd way with some devices. And it did for me.
