iphone software I just received notice from Apple of a software upgrade to my iphone 4
Given all the problems reported with the new Apple Maps, I don't want to give up my Google map. Should I skip this upgrade?

Just use the mobile version

Until Apple fixes it in a few weeks, simply use the mobile/web version of google maps. Go here:

maps.google.com

Also, they may sneak it in again through the 'back door'. Look here:

I skipped it, and I would recommend everyone else does too until they get this stuff sorted out. I do not see myself upgrading until 6.0.1 or whatever comes out, because nothing will have the possibility of being improved until then.
