iphone3gs not detecting/connecting to home wifi

Just bought a new Linksys router. My laptop has no trouble finding the network. My iphone has trouble finding the newtwork and when it does, it often will not let me connect "unable to connect to..." Have tried to reset the network settings. Anyone know of any new fixes for this?

....have you tried to contact Linksys or Apple for tech support? Hopefully someone on this forum may offer additional advice.
