First of all... yes I realize there are many posts about this, not only on CNET but on a thousand other forums as well, but I am having a hard time finding up to date, within the last year or so answers/info etc.
So any help is greatly appreciated, but basically-
A person buys new Iphone 4S to use on VERIZON, does not want to pay $30 dollars a month for data plan when they can use call/text functionality without data plan & will be on college campus with very good wifi network 10 months out of the year, further eliminating need for data plan when wifi access/use is free.
But I have read alot about how Verizon will not activate your phone without you agreeing to data plan purchase if you have a smartphone...
Does anyone have any experience in getting around using a data plan, if so lets hear how it is done!
Thank you
