I was cleaning the Home Button on my iPhone 4 using water and probably rather uncleverly turned the iPhone 4 on too quickly after doing so.
The functionality is not completely lost, the iPhone home button recognises presses.
A single press usually works (except on the most damaged section of the Home Button which is the South-East or lower right area). The single press (when pressed anywhere else) will take me from the App to the Home Screen, or if already on the Home Screen to the Search Screen.
Double presses occasionally take me back to the Search Screen/Home Screen, but typically do nothing at all, or on the off occasion take me to the multi-tasking bar.
It's evidently a hardware issue of some sort, I'm not sure if the problems point to a damaged circuitry of some sort behind the Home Button or something else such as the flex beneath the Home Button. Are there any viable solutions (I'm out of warranty)?
