What does IOS mean?

I always wanted to know what that meant but no websites can really give me the answer.

It is just a nickname for the Apple OS (operating system). Apple likes the "i" in the beginning of many of it's products. Other examples of products are the iPad, iPhone, iPod, iMac.

There is an Android OS, Symbian OS, Palm OS, Windows Mobile OS, Blackberry OS which are used in various smartphones.

Apple marketing decided to put an "i" in front of all their new products...the "i" was oringinally for "internet" according to what I've read. Now it's just a branding thing for Apple.

It stands for (( iPhone Operating System )) and (( I )) stand for Internet so the term will be
(( internet phone Operating System ))
