Apple bands users who have hacked iPhones or iPods

So today as I was going through my daily news cycle I came across a very interresting article.
The headline read "apple bands hacked users" and I just thought "this Is it".
I mean, apple banning people now? What is this. I thought the patching was enough but apparently this is a more direct way to tell consumers you screw with us, we screw you. I know that all one has to do is set up a new account and all but is just too much. I have dealt with the constant unlocking and jailbraking not for more than being able to use my phone when I'm abroad, and although I must say that I don't really buy much stuff, it's just that I feel slapped in the face by apple, spitted on and left to die. I have most apple products out there and love em very much, but if I get banned just because I paid 689 for my device and refuse to use crappy AT&T with it I will divorce apple and move on to android. I mean serious, I have had all 3 iPhone models and have paid full price for all to then use it with tmo when even though they don't fully support apple, I don't feel robbed and the end of each month.
I just want to know what do you guys think of this and to make sence of it.
