Apps I like!

I'm a bit of a game geek right now on the iPhone, I've been really enjoying Sentinel (check it out http://www.origin8.com/sentinel/index.php, if that kind of thing appeals to the bored commuter in you, there's links to the Apps Store on the site!)

I've been messing around playing iMob too, but that needs a WiFi connection, and it's more of a game you log in, check stuff, and log off on a daily basis than something you pick up for 20-30 minutes on the train if that makes sense?

Origin8 do some other fun stuff too, if you wander around on their website you'll see what I mean, I played around with iWire, which is kind of fun if you like that kind of thing.

Edge Quest 2

A pretty cool game app just came out last week or something called Edge Quest 2 http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=310219792&mt=8

It's really easy to get sucked in - I've found that it's a good way to pass the time during my commute.

I've tried a few of the apps that people suggested on this page, and I really like Sway and Edge Quest. They're both very captivating. Sway is pretty expensive (4.99), but very fun. Edge Quest 2 is free - and I like free!

...as I wrote in another thread just now, http://www.easytrailsgps.com has the quickest support team I've ever seen... in the same day I asked clarification for a feature I need, they replied (and it's saturday!), and the feature is already undergoing testing...

for me in the middle of 100000000 iPhone apps, 80% are quite amatorial, 18% are just marketing campaigns, maybe 2% is really pro stuff...

There are too many apps nowadays in the AppStore, 90% of them are trash and useless, that's why you should focus on the best around.

iVote is the one I use most often. I also have Airsharing, which is very useful if you need to stick some files on your iPod/iPhone for transfer to somewhere. I have tons of games that I like. All the electronic arts games are good. Monkey ball. Pangea software games are good too. Possibly my favorite is Guitar Rock tour by Gameloft. There's also a cool one called Blue Skyies that I like a lot, and a really excellent flight simulator is X-Plane. Stanza is a good ebook reader app, ebay, paypal, 1Password, Jaadu connect, WeDict, Wikipanion, RadarMotion, White Pages, Skype, Palringo IM, and NYTimes are a few good utilities apps.

Anyway, those are my favs. I've got hundreds of other apps that I don't use very often too.
