Passive Glasses and split screen gaming question...

I understand there is not only dual play glasses to play a split screen game as a full screen, but there is also clip on dual play glasses for us people that wear prescription glasses? I saw them on a web site called www.DualPlayGlasses.com Just want to make sure this is real.

Gamers do not like reduced frame rates. I think those that play the Wii or such may be OK but the usual gamer will never share a screen like this.

Let's see how much you know. How many FPS will you get with this?

While I'm no expert...but I believe passive style glasses have no shutter effect (Active Glasses), so I would have to say the FPS would be equivilent to the hz rating of the HDTV your viewing on. 120fps on a 120hz, 240fps on 240hz and so on with passive Dual play glasses. I have seen the dual play glasses and it is fine. It serves its purpose. I just was wondering if the clip ons were better or about the same. I know for a fact that the Active shutter glasses for 3D and the dual play they have for sony can not surpass 60hz max. The shutters can not process faster than that.

Actually the frames per second from the game is 60 max.

The reason is simple (HDMI) and the numbers you shared are the PANEL RATES.

So for 3D you already see a reduced rate, then sharing a 3D game would be down to about 15 FPS from what I see.

Gamers would hate 15, barely accept 30.
