tv turner for pc monitor which is the best for less

I have a Sony SDM HS95P monitor that I want to use as a tv in my bedroom. I have cable TV and a Go Video dvd/vhs player that can change tv channels but I don't know if it has a built in tv turner? With that, can I buy a cable(s)to connect the units and use what I have to have tv or do I need to purchase a external tv turner converter, if so what one for the lease amount of monies? I don't have HD in the bedroom cable box.I have seen something from a company KWord and I know of ViewSonic, but I would like to spend less than $60, if possible since I can get a cheap flat screen for $150-200, I don't really want to waste the monitor. Help.

i've the same sony monitor and want to do the same. have u been able to make the conversion and if so, what did u do?
