I used the "direct download" since we get false positives from the Cnet wrapper.

Next I went to http://www.virustotal.com/ and submitted it.

Results:

1 of the 43 tests found this. But this looks to be a common false positive. Have you heard of false positives?

It will go to all the moderators as well as a few that will pass this up.

However it does look like a false positive to me. There's another issue I see and that it looks like very old software. I see bits and pieces dating back to 1998 so updates to fix any false positive is unlikely.

Hope it did what you wanted and then you can dump it.

Tool should have been Remover. And now that I've removed this software I would have to reinstall it to test further.

I see above I reported what tool I used and what it reported. Since only ONE out of FORTY THREE tools noted it (and I supplied what it was called by the one) it feels like another false positive.

Let's bottomline this. Is the software usefull? If not, delete it and go on.

And again. Will the software authors fix their software to get rid of the false positive? Good question but from my experience, no they won't.
