So I burned the image to a CD, and I was able to boot off the CD. I first did as suggested and just kept on entering return, using the default answers. Eventually the questions repeated, and nowhere did it imply it was clearing my admin password, and this did not fix the problem. Then I tried to change one of the answers, For Candidate WIndows Partition found, the default answer (1) was /dev/sda2 15000 MB Boot. I changed that answer to 2, which was /dev/sda3 595439 MB. This looked promising, because it did lead me to a menu that had a choice to clear the administrator password. I selected that answer, saved something when it gave me that choice, and then quit and booted windows, expecting my problem to be solved. But when I did something that required an administrator password, the same thing happenned as always. I left the password blank, hit enter , and the box just returned. It did not like the blank answer. My problem was not fixed. I am about to buy a $35 password re-setter program. Hopefully that will work.
