Converting mpeg-4 audio

My Granddaughter e-mailed me a song in the mpeg-4 audio format. I have no problem playing it on my computer.
When I burn it to a CD it will not play on my car CD player.
I assume it's in the wrong format and has to be converted.
I know nothing about doing that so what does it need to be converted to and what's a good program?

Downloaded the program and converted the CD and it works fine.

Convertors

There are many convertors are available which can convert the audio/video file into desired format.
I generally used "Total Video Convertor" for this. It supports a huge list of file format and able to convert them.
