Realplayer file naming?

I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post this, but I couldn't find anything that suited it any better, so here it lay.

I've been using Realplayer for about two years now, and try as I might I just can't figure one thing out. I will change the name of a track, and the name change will forever after show up when I'm looking at the song through Realplayer. However as soon as I open the song with any other program or move it to my MP3 player, it reverts to the songs previous name.

If anyone can tell me how to change the file so it won't revert to its previous form, I will be eternally grateful.

Clarification request: OK. We have file name, ID3 Tags

And that issue about the CDDB autorename.

If you only changed the filename, many players do not use the filename but the ID in the tag.

I'll stop here before I duplicate the internet on MP3 tag editing.
