Audio & video software forum: Want to re-install a program, but...

I Have used NGWave for years but my bought version will not work on Win 7. Though it appears the latest version will I cannot obtain a license for it (the license I had for the last version is rejected) because no one knows where the business went. Hoping someone can find it or a link/contact. Thanks

Haven't found any info on what happened to the creator. I have my license/unlock code for version 3.5 but threw out the install file long long ago and now need to reinstall. I can find version 4.0 and such on from the web but not 3.5 which I assume is the only version tethered to my license. Funny thing though is that even though one can find a few versions to download as shareware, you can't really use them without a license, and you can't get a license because the company's gone. Awesome!

Hmmm, I'd like to try and download that to see if it is what I want, but when I do, I get to the "download will begin" page and then "cannot display webpage". What gives?! I can't possibly be doing that wrong, can I? Does that happen for you?

Well, whatever it is you snagged wasn't close to my program, as in, it was some sort of "Aventail VPN" program something or other. Yikes! Care to try again?

Hell, I didn't even know the site that you were checking in the first place. I have no clue as to where esle to check. So sad.

I thought that if you had a site you couldn't get to, I could try and if it worked, do the dropbox trick.

I guess I'll have to noodle over possible sites. I did an internet search and tried various sites, many of which did the whole "about to download only to not access whatever it was it was trying to access" song and dance. Hell, maybe I'll just call the call the guy as he's listed in that Opossumsoft site you linked to. I should've kept the damn install file but I suppose it now lies in that big recycle bin in the sky.

I suppose it would work if I ponied up for the program but I'm still holding out that my initial purchase of the NGWave program can yet be brought back to life on my new computer. I suppose the original install file of the program is somewhere embedded deep in the bowels of this computers internals, deleted long ago, if of course it hasn't since been overwritten. Anyway, your suggestion might be a good recourse.

Try Audacity, IMHO the most powerful free audio editor available.
