I did a Google search for rnupgagent and didn't find anything, except for your own post here. Is that spelling right?

However, Google offered me rnu pgagent and I found a few hits for that, mostly very suspicious links. But many of the safe links appear to talk about PostgreSQL, and their web site quotes themselves as "The world's most advanced open source database".

That doesn't help me at all, but maybe it rings a bell with you.

Why do you ask about this?

rnupgagent.exe is attempting to access the Internet

According to my symantec this is a low risk but I think it is a trojan horse. It's going to 65.199.63.24:80.
Blocked it twice and it stopped.

yap.the spelling is right.i found this suspicious in RealPlayer folder.when i on my pc,it's automatically download something(i don't know what is it).anyway,thanks for your reply.

Spybot S&D identifies it as Perfect Keylogger

Spybot - Search and Destroy identified rnupgagent.exe as attempting to run "PerfectKeylogger" and blocked it this morning on my pc:

7/18/2011 8:12:23 AM Encountered and terminated PerfectKeylogger in C:\Documents and Settings\Byron\Application Data\Real\Update\UpgradeHelper\RealPlayer\8.01\rnupgagent.exe!

I was able to track this file on my other pc (win Xp) and disable it. but on my laptop (win 7) the file and all related folders are not searchable, the thing that will keep the problem remaining especially when you don't want your connection to be used without you knowing why and what program is using it. this application in (win xp) was trying to download Realplayer and someting related to it.

If anyone know something about a program that can be installed, that can find out which applications are trying to use the internet, and of course the ability to pause or stop them, thanks.
