Sony Vegas HELP! (: ( ASAP )

I just bought an HD PVR and have recorded videos just fine, they playback in Windows Media Player perfect. But when i open the file to sony vegas, it only preview/renders the top left part of the video. And its really zoomed in, ive try event/pan/crop. Ive tried to lower the HD settings on my Xbox and it zoomed out a little bit, but its still only part of the video.

What did they say? This version of Sony Vegas do support HD.? Did the PVR come with any software at all? I am really a stranger to HD video but I thought maybe these might be good question to ask and learn a bit.
