My old Roxio software won't work with Vista

Upgraded my system, and now have to upgrade my video editing software. Have been studying what's available, but have some things I want that the literature seems not to address consistently. First, whatever I get has to run with Vista. Second, I have some homebrew DVDs I would like to import for more editing. Third, I wold like to make slideshows of stills with a music track and/or narrative for the entire show, not just each pic. Comments from you folks who have the newer software about your experience with it would be most helpful!

Download PHOTO STORY and give that a try, might do at least some of the things that you want to do.

Vista video software

On my Vista laptop I use AVS Video Editor, which is a low-cost ($50) package that is okay. Adobe Premiere Elements gets pretty good comments ($120 or so), too, so much so that I'm tempted to try it. I used Photoshop Elements 6.0 for my photos and really have begun to understand it and like it.

AVS Video editor seems like a decent software for video editing purposes under Vista...
