meGUI Re-Encoding and Compression Problem.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to know which is the best software for Video Re-Encoding and Compressing. I tried meGUI, but it doesn't start the conversion. The status keeps saying "encoding audio..." for hours and then nothing ever happens. The bar doesn't move. Know what's wrong with it?

I am using AVI REcomp for now. Is it one of the best? I'm quite happy with it so far. I am also learning to re-encode and upscale videos. Can I please have a resolution and encoding guide on it?

sounds like a decoding issue

Its typically an issue with decoding, I've seen similar when trying to encode video and it was trying to use Microsoft instead of CoreAVC. Grab this useful tool below.

It will give you a couple pages of settings, you shouldn't need to change most of them but if you have multiple decoders installed try another one for the format your encoding.
