Deals and Bargains forum: Poll: Would you use Amazon lockers?

I suspect the subject is moot at the moment. Amazon has had lots of cross-border problems and are lockers the solution?

I shop online because I'm bedridden. Obviously, my shopping/shipping habits wouldn't be affected by a Locker program. However, I think it's a great idea, and I only question why it's taken so long! Amazon has always been competitive with other super-sellers, so it only makes sense to offer this quickly-spreading convenience.
I remember the first time I decided to make 100% of my Christmas purchases on Amazon; it was the year before "Free Shipping on Orders of 25% or more" arrived. My total was over $500 when the actual purchase price was under $200!! I couldn't click "Cancel" fast enough!
Now I just save things in my cart until I reach the magic 25%, and it's not a worry. There are times it's inconvenient. For instance, when I need turtle food (only $8) and end up feeding him things such as cat food & salad for a few weeks. On a tight budget, I wait for our meager needs to add up rather than adding unnecessary items to the list. In situations like that when time is of the essence, I would definitely prefer a Locker option if I were mobile!

This is a great idea. We move around continually on the inland waterways (canals and rivers) of the UK on our narrowboat Epiphany (see http://nbepiphany.co.uk) and often need to find somewhere for something to be delivered.

Being able to use Amazon's lockers, without the need for phone calls and searching should be invaluable
