PUSH Email

Can someone please help. I have been seaching for weeks and have gotten no definitive answer if any Android smart phone (Verizon) supports PUSH email. I have been to Verizon and they have said I should stick with Blackberry since they are the only service that supports PUSH email. Does Blackberry have a patent on that service? I have been told that if I direct my email (Go Daddy is me email service proider) through Gmail that I will get my e mails instantly, however its' an extra step where emails can get caught up in cyber space. Do any Verizon Android phones supprt PUSH email where I will get the email instantly like I do with Blackberry? Thanks for your time and direction.

Is 60 seconds between checks for email too long? If you must get instant messages why not use SMS?

I'll defer to prior solutions and ask my question instead.

Thanks for the feedback, what is SMS? No more than 60 seconds would be fine.
