How to tether using MacBook Air and blackberry Bold 9700

Does anyone know how to set up tethering with the MacBook Air and the Blackberry 9700? I would appreciate any help! I have the tethering plan with AT&T. Thanks!

BB tethering for Bold 9700 to MacBook Air

I downloaded Tether.com twice. The first time I became so frustrated that I removed it and got my money back. I tried PDAnet but it would not work either. I had it on my windows PC and loved it.

I read that Tether had been improved for working with the MBA. So I bought it again and it worked initially via Bluetooth on a trial basis but stopped working when I purchased it! It gave me an error message to remove all BlackBerry Desktop files. Most were located in system/library/extension/RIM etc, etc. I finally found these files, really not as difficult as I made it. The other "must do" is use a USB cable to connect BB because it does not work with Bluetooth.

I did the download from Tether.com and followed there simple instructions for both MBA and BB. Once I complied with the "error message re: removing all traces of BB Desktop it started working and is working very well now.

Going to try it on a road trip tomorrow.

Bottomlline. Download trial version from Tether and follow instructions. BlackBerry Desktop is common problem.

it is really nice to avoid all those extra charges for tethering via your carrier.
