i currently have the blackberry bold 9000 and the 9800 seems good but what about the iphone or the other droid phones ?

I suggest that you read the reviews of the phones of your interest. Or ask around, your friends for suggestions

best mobile 9800

I strongly support 9800, Because i just ask my friends for the phone and what i have the review for the best one is this and I have already order for the same and waiting for my 9800.

Emailing and messaging capabilities on the 9800 are stellar per usual, and web interface is a big improvement over 9000. Video isn't that impressive though--but what will you be primarily using it for?

I am on Blackberry Torch and believe its great.9000 is not bad but if you are looking for work forget about iphone, 9800 is best one in my seance.
