BlackBerry Curve 8330 - Mobile Network shuts off on its own

by stiner123 - 3/2/09 7:46 AM

Hi. I have had my BlackBerry Curve 8330 since Christmas and lately have been having problems with it.

a) Unless I completely kill my battery (and I mean kill it completely) before charging it, my battery will not hold a charge well at all until I kill it and fully charge it again.

b) I had the phone switch settings on me a few times now. For instance, I had set the BlackBerry to save pictures to my memory card but somehow my BlackBerry had a mind of its own and switched the setting so that it saves it to my phone instead.

c) My phone likes to turn off the mobile network for no real apparent reason (as in, its not that I lose coverage and have 0 bars... its that my phone shuts off all outgoing connections).

d) Sound quality seems to maybe have decreased a bit. It`s not quite as good as my Motorolla Krzr, but its better than my first two cell phones (both crappy audiovox phones that started to fall apart and/or lose battery life after less than a year of ownership).

e) Once in awhile my phone is slow.

The interesting thing is that I am not the only Curve owner that I know to have these same problems. My fianc got the Curve a few months before I did and he is having these same problems. So if anyone could help me figure out how to fix these problems it would be great.
