global warming??

The term 'global warming' has been widely discredited at this point - the current phrase is called 'climate change'. It sounds like Leo missed that.

The reason climate change is more valid is because we're freezing our tookuses off. For example in the midwest of the United States, we've had our coldest summer on record. Where I live in we've had record snow fall the past 2 winters.

I admire how Leo is the ultimate in projecting confidence, it's a great skill, but I could do without unscientific blanket statements.

It's winter here in Australia, and we've had several days of around 30-35C this past week! That's 85-95F. This is unusual, even though it doesn't get cold enough to snow here.
But, North America and Europe could actually get colder due to global warming.

I keep using that example too--really makes the point of how global change can have counter-intuitive local effects--but tossing in the actual article really takes it up a notch.

No independent scientists of any significant stature and credibility disagree about the basic fact of global warming any more. Sure, you can find some who disagree AND who aren't being paid to do so, but heck, there are still some people who think the sun revolves around the earth!
