Buzz Out Loud Lounge forum: I'm not feeling Natalie on Buzz out loud.

I was a long time listener since the Veronica days and never missed an episode until Natali became a regular. I've since unsubscribed to the show but do listen in on occasion (when Molly's on). All that to say, since Friday 5/1 and all this week BOL is Natali free because of vacation! Even without Tom (who I also really enjoy) the show has had some of it's best episodes. It's funny again, the chemistry between the hosts is back and the Molly rants have been excellent. If you agree, please comment and let CNET know!

Like many others (I suspect) I'm a long time BOL listener who has stopped subscribing but check in now and again.

I do hope cnet statistics track how much more popular BOL is when it has informed, irreverent, geeky hosts. I applaud Brian Kooley for managing without the regulars and putting on a great show.

Listening right now and loving it.

This is usually the first podcast i listen to in the mornings and this week it's been an even bigger boost.

This means that finally all the people who leave can be replaced by new people.

I've been listening to the show, and I've been emailing and voicemailing hoping to be heard online.

After reading all these comments of people unsubscribing, I'm torn between worrying that BOL is losing listeners and celebrating that my emails and voicemails will have a bigger chance to be played on the show.

Honestly, I'm hoping that this increases my chances.

You know what the entirely ironic thing is? Natali on the 404 this past week? FANTASTIC! She fits in perfectly there.

The problem, as I see it, is she isn't as technically and nerdy minded as is necessary on BOL. It'd be like putting Steve Doocy on 60 Minutes (does that work? I'm in Aus and ... :)).

Being nasty like that is not actually helpful or constructive!

Natali has no gravitas. I think any minute she will say, "I am so sure." It sounds like they have a guest from the local high school newspaper.

What was that babbling about? His post seemed to make sense, while your's on the other hand...

If you really feel it is sensible that he believes the BOL hosts must have "gravitas", then I'm glad to know it, though I have to believe you are both disappointed very often. My expectations are much different, and I am very satisfied with the hosts' (lack of) seriousness the majority of the time. My bad assumption was that he did not know the correct meaning of the word he was throwing around in such a surprising and, I believe, completely irrelevant way.

Frankly I beleive no one cares that you are no longer listening to Buzz Out Loud. Who needs the haters. I find Natali brings a fresh perspective to the group. Tom has the quick transitions, Molly has her infamous rants and Jason brings everyone together. Not that my opinion matters but I think Natali is intelligent and I for one am interested in her feedback. You haters all need to get a life. I especially like her quick comebacks when she is a guest on The 404.

I'm gonna have to disagree with this statement. I consider Natalie a very knowledgeable tech person, since she has worked in many other tech news companies like WIRED, G4TV and PC Magazine.

Granted, Natalie does sound like a Valley Girl, which may not help her remove the perception that she's an idiot.

Since we're all about perception here, I'm gonna perceive that all the Natali-haters are just a very vocal minority, and they're suffering from Natali-del-Conte-Derangement-Syndrome (NDCDS). And because "perception is reality", the statement must be real.

One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. Having essentially the same group of people desperately trying to make the same points ad nauseum hasn't seemed to change the lineup of the show, has it?

It's probably because she was just finished taping the404 and Molly was on the show, but she was definitely better than usual. I've said before that I don't mind Natali on the show, as long as Molly's there too. To me, BOL is all about Molly, and I miss her terribly when she's not there.
