BELKIN WIRELESS G GAMING ADAPTER AND XBOX 360

Hi all:
I bought a belkin wireless g gaming adapter and I am trying to hook it up to my son's xbox 360. I have a Linksys wireless router that all the computers are set up to, but I can't get this hooked up for some reason. I called Belkin's help line but I could not understand the guy and he kept taking me in circles. Is there any place that I can find out how to set up the gaming adapter to my wireless network? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

most likely not going to work

Well i do not think that adapter should work i know even if you have linksys usb adapter to a linksys router. it will not work with a 360. because Microsoft wants you to buy there wireless adapter for the 360.
But here is an idea that you can try.

Go to the system Blade.
and run the the connectivity "wizard thingy"

Wireless gaming adapter with the Xbox 360

I'm assuming your Belkin wireless adapter is the USB kind? If so...

If the Xbox 360 recognizes your adapter properly once you hook it to the USB port, the Wireless connectivity portion of the 360 should immediately become available for configuration. If you plug the gaming adapter into the 360 and this portion of the configuration does ungrey (it's greyed out by default), that means the 360 does not recognize that wireless adapter. I tried the same thing with a D-Link N USB adapter (because I have N in my home) and the 360 did not recognize this adapter. It was only when I plugged in an actual Microsoft WiFi adapter did the 360 let me configure the WiFi portion.

If your 360 does recognize your Belkin adapter (which I'm not sure that it does), you should be able to go into the configuration area and add the WEP or WPA key and off you go. It's really pretty simple once the system shows that the adapter is available.

If you have more information on things you've tried, it might help in diagnosing this issue.

The Belkin Gaming Adapter is a wireless bridge

The adapter is not USB, it allows for Ethernet connections to networking devices and is capable of several connections at once through a switch or hub. The device is actually much more than a wireless adapter as it has a web accessible GUI and settings much like an access point.

We use this with our 360 with no problem and it is even capable of running our I.P. phones for the business. Access the gaming adapter from any PC and program it to the Wi-Fi available and it will run anything requiring internet, even multiple devices at once.

Find the manual, currently here - http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&pid=F5D7330&aid=5340&scid=0, and access the gaming adapter via Internet Explorer at 192.168.2.225. If you are unsure that the settings are at default, use the reset button in the back to restore factory defaults. The web interface is easy to use and the manual will answer your questions.

PS. I know this post is old, but I found it while looking for the manual to the adapter. Hopefully this will help someone else.
