What size iPod Touch should I buy?!?

Here's my dilemma;
I've been waiting to buy a new iPod for about two months, so I was really psyched to see the announcement the other day. Originally I was expecting to buy the "classic" so that I could keep all of my music on it, *I have 40 gb of music, and about 30 of videos, so I'd make decent use out of one* but after seeing the Touch, I would much prefer that one simply for it's web browser. I don't have a PDA, or a smart phone, but I live online so this would be great for me. Not to mention that it's tiny and gorgeous haha.
Alright, so I pre-ordered a 8 gb, but I checked to make sure that I could change that to a 16 gb if I want to, which I can.
With either size, I'm going to have to do some amount of management. The way I would do this would be to have a core playlist of songs, videos and pictures that just live on the Touch, and a playlist of songs and maybe videos that I'll move on and off. But the question is - is it worth it to have double the size for $100? I have a Nano (1 gb) now, and I don't sync it very often, maybe once a month, just out of laziness because my only computer is a laptop (MacBook) so it's not as easy as a desktop where your iPod USB is always there and plugged in. That makes me lean towards 16 gb, but I also think I'm just being greedy. Oh, and btw if this matters, I just had a birthday a few weeks ago, so I have cash from that I could guiltlessly apply to cover the difference.
