Explaining Facebook for The BOL Crew

I figured I'd explain how Facebook works since it appears there's still a bit of confusion about the networking features.
Every profile on facebook is a member of a network, either a school, workplace, or region. You can be apart of multiple networks, but you must be in at least one.
You can see profiles of people within your network, by default (but can be hidden). You can search and find people in other networks under the default privacy controls, but, you cannot see their profile unless you add that person as a friend. You can then see profiles of your friends in other networks.
The new Facebook privacy controls allow for members who are with a College, High School, or Work network to limit who can search for you if someone is only affiliated with a region.
I hope that clears things up.
