If you are asking whether there will be more computers with Vista installed than Leopard, I would think that would be pretty clear. Microsoft has a larger market share and the majority of Windows XP users will turn into Vista users eventually. Not to mention that there will probably be OSX users that install Vista on their Mac for use with bootcamp.
Now, if you rate success by user satisfaction, the answer to that is going to be much less clear and I don't think you'll ever get a satisfactory answer.
BTW, I am posting this using Vista RC1 and Firefox 2.0 Beta. I am not planning on installing Vista on a production machine until it's been out for at least a year, though. Maybe even longer if there are still security issues at that time. I only installed it on this machine because I do tech support for computers and I wanted to become familiar with the OS before I have to support it.
