Hello folks,
Do I sound like a retard? May be I do but honestly, I have never played games on a game console and I am totally clueless about game console and gaming ecosystem.
I have a 4 year old who has a diagnosis of Autism. His motor skills and social skills are pretty poor. His speech (i.e. language generation) is also poor but he is improving on that front. One of our therapist suggested us to get him involved with gaming, This way, he will not learn social skills the way we all learn but will sure force him to interact with others.
The question I have here is, which game console will suit his needs. He will not be playing any community games (i.e connected through web or similar) but will be playing more stand-alone games with me or his mom or his peers for a while (about 3 to 4 years). Since I have absolutely no clue about it, I don't even know where to begin and what to look for. Google gave me specs and stuff but I don't know which one will be perfect for needs. A portable one will be perfect but if it won't fit his needs, I won't mind buying Xbox or PS.
Any help in this regard is appreciated.
P.S. - FWIW, he loves to play a games called as Cordy and Angry Birds on Xoom tablet.
