PSP USB Chargers

Hello,

<div>I require additional information on the Sony PSP Data & Power USB
Cable the product specifications say</div> - Product Features
<div>Transfer data to
and from your Sony PSP</div>Compatible with PSP 1000, 2000, & 3000
<div>Charge
through any computer's USB port</div>Also has a DC jack
<div>Since this cable
has a DC jack does that mean it can charge via the AC power socket on the
PSP?.</div><div>If this is correct,does that mean the PSP 1000 can be charged via USB
from a PC ?.If it can does ,this suggests that the PSP does not have to be
in USB mode to be charged?.
</div>If it can be charge the psp 1000,2000 and 3000 through the DC jack does this mean it can be charged with a flat battery.

Your assistance and feed back greatly appreciated.I have contacted Sony on this question,but can't get a definite answer.

No, it means one end of the cable will be your standard USB male connector. The other ends of the cable will be a mini-USB male connector for data transfer, and then a second end that will fit into the DC-in port on the PSP and charge the battery using the power from the USB port.

You might be able to find one of those USB to AC outlet adapters, but then you'd lose the data capabilities of the cable.
