Small business forum: cool business idea/motivation

My name is Jeremy, I am 29, a graduate from the University of Toledo with a degree in Marketing. I just have a feeling I am not doing what I was intended for in life and because of that I am not happy.

I am constantly thinking about how to get myself to where I want to be and keep coming back to starting a small business. It seems like its such a tall task ahead.

The latest idea I have is taking old books and making floating bookshelves with just the book attached to the wall. I have figured out how to attach it so it can hold about 25lbs. Something I also wanted to do with it is use a cause marketing strategy and since I live in Cleveland, give a percentage back to the school system by eventually purchasing a computer or something of that nature.

I understand this isn't exactly inventing the wheel but I absolutely need some feedback. I am writing in a forum because I feel like no one wants to venture on their own to do things, with that said I am looking to you.
