Need to see what apps, programs are causing internet traffic

My Verizon mifi data usage sometimes shows over 1GB of data transfer in a small timeframe, and at times of the day I am not using the computer (but it is on). I do not have an online backup that uses anything like that. And I doubt system upgrades or antivirus updates are the cause, but really do not know.

I'd like to find a monitor that will show: application driving the traffic, file names being transferred, PC IP address in use, web site address being accessed, and amount of data per time period (minute, hour, day) etc. and all time stamped.

I've seen bunches of monitors that just show total volume, with no details. I need to find the culprits.
