New IT Department for Small Business

I create users in active directory. The previous two companies I worked for had a template that gave the new user all the login credentials. Does anyone know where I can find a template?

Was that in the classes you took on Active Directory?
And isn't that in the fine books on Active Directory?

Not to upset you but did you try to research this and re-read the books on administrating this system?

Why I ask is that a small business could be harmed here by an IT department filled with the wrong folk.

If an IT staffer is not up to the task and refuses to discuss how to find the answer then they won't last long.

You may want to have a sit down with them and talk about this.

--> Let me state that most of the moderators teach folk how to fish. That is, when possible the fish is not handed out.

Welcome New Member!

I see you just joined so to avoid future misunderstandings let me welcome you and share some points about these forums.

1. No paid staff.
2. All volunteers.
3. The mod's tend to teach fishing.

Item 3 can really upset those expecting "the answer" and not a fishing lesson. I"ve yet to find a good way to explain that to those that demand fish but fish is bought at the fish market. In this case a call to Microsoft and a credit card will do.

Hope this helps you avoid disappointments.
