Security cams/systems for pre-K?

Our pre-K system is looking to install security cams. Plan is to put two per classroom, and one dvr and monitor per center. We have about 40-45 centers, about 75-85 classrooms. What do we need, as far as equipment and hardware to install/connect everything? I'm going to be writing a grant for this equipment, but I need to know . . . everything! What to ask for. How much it will cost. What installation costs will be.

I'd appreciate any information or advice.

Get security system quotes

The best thing you can do is get as many quotes as possible from different companies in your area and find out how much it will be. It is hard to tell how much all this will cost without actually going in. When I moved into my new home I used security monitoring services and got a handful of quotes from companies in my area. This gave me a better feel for the market price on this service, and gave me something to help when I was negotiating will the salesman. With a job as big as yours I feel companies will be more apt to lower their prices to get the job.

Hi I had to do the same thing about a year and a half ago. I wasted a bunch of time trying to figure it out myself but ended up paying Flyn Monkey Information Technology Consultants to write up a very nice professional project plan that spelled out everything needed with cost and time. Without a professional company doing it I would have looked like a fool in the end. Take my advice and get someone who is a professional in the area to help you.
