second domain purchased need email

my company purchased a second domain and want to receive email to that domain along with email from the 1st domain.

I set up an MX record on my DNS equal to that of the first domain.

1stdomain.com. MX 10 server.1stdomain.com.
2nddomain.com. MX 10 server.1stdomain.com.

We are running exchange 5.5 and I went throught the IMC and added the second domain. I added a new mailbox for me with the new domain address and forwarded that mailbox to my 1st email box and internally this works fine but I haven't been able to get it to work for outside email.

I'm sure there is probably something simple I'm forgetting I just don't have any documentation for this.

Point the MX Record to your IP

UH? I wouldn't point one MX Record to another.

Just point them to the same IP as the other one...

Example
mail.domain.com > 111.111.111.111
mail.domain2.com > 111.111.111.111

I've never pointed one to another?
Just point the Second Domain MX to the same IP

Also Have you added the Second Domain on the server?
(Or just added the @Domain2.com in the SMTP List)

I got it working.

I had forgotten about my named.boot file. Once I added my second domain to named.boot all was good.
