Partioning a 2TB hard Drive
Hello, thanks for your help, the PC I had was a Philips running vista with a 300 and a 200 GB hard drives, when they said they could not fix mine, basically it needed 2 USB port unit replacing, they took it away and a few days later rang to say the parts were not made anymore, so it would be scrapped and I would be issused with a voucher, I rang PC World, and one of their chaps gave me the voucher number, and said I could go to Currys or PC World and pick one out, the voucher value was £319, I went to our local Currys, who said yes £319 but I pointed out that the pc I'd given in was a quad core with 500GB hard drive, and that there was no way I could get one like that for £319 - the chap said - you won't get anything like that for that money, but I am sure the replacement should be like for like, so he made a phone call to someone - lot of talking and I ended up with the cheapest equivelent, an Advent tower with 8gb ram, a 2 TB hard drive, a good graphic card, hdmi, vga etc, wifi dongle. and a wifi keyboard and mouse, it sells for £749.99, running widows 7, I could not believe it until it came into the shopand I had it home, what worries me is if I need to do a defrag or disc cleanup it is going to take forever, that is why I thought of partioning it, but do not have the skill or knowledge to do it - with losing all data, I an OAP, I'll never use that much space!!
Thanks
