Inventory

Hello,
I am using Simply accounting 2010. Can anyone tell me how to adjust an inventory item without affecting the balance sheet? for example when ever I adjust an item from inventory it adds it to the balance sheet.

Adjusting Inventory

Steelmatic - If you're in Classic View, go to the Inventory module. Select "Inventory Adjustments & Transfers." Under "Item" you bring up the inventory number/item you want to adjust. Enter the quantity you want to increase by or decrease (ie -25). To keep from affecting the balance sheet etc, just delete the "Unit cost" and the "Amount" so that no dollar figures are brought up. Do this for as many items as you need to adjust and post. It will adjust quantities without dollar values.
