Please I want to build a small stepdown transformer for palying a 12volt radio. The transformer data are:
1. Input voltage 220V. 2. Output voltage 12V 3. output current 1A. 4. Air cool. How do I find the cross sectional area of the transformer. Calculate the volt per turn or turn per volt,to enble me know what the primary and secondary winding will be.How do I calculate the cable size to be used for the primary and secondary windings. How do I know the size of the E & I type lamination to use for the winding and the quantity required. How do I calculate and build the bobbin to be used for the winding. Thanks.
