How fast is fast? - PC Benchmark Performance Testing

We may not agree on how fast or slow computers run even if we were all there to witness the comparison. Maybe a standard CNET benchmark performance utility could be chosen and used by the Q&A forum participants to get a better idea of how fast their PCs are running.
