a little over a week ago, a company called ansca released a pre-beta of their iphone sdk called Corona. It doesn't use Objective-C or javascript, it uses a language called Lua. If you have experience with C or java or actionscript etc, its super easy to pick up. it comes with a simulator as well that you can test your apps on. www.anscamobile.com is their site. they've got a forum that you can talk to the developers on as well.
